Br Calligaro SJ Automated External Defibrillator Installation
A first for any school in Bengaluru, the AED donated by the Reggie Sreshta Charity Healthcare Education Foundation was installed in SJBHS. A demonstration of the importance and working of the AED was part of the inauguration function. An initiative by the Old Boys’ Association (OBA), this life saving device was installed in memory of Brother Calligaro SJ who served in the school infirmary for forty long years. The newly inaugurated AED is another health care initiative of SJBHS towards its stakeholders.
The Batch Coordinators Meet
The Batch Coordinators’ all met recently at an event hosted by the OBA MC on February 11th. More than 60 representatives attended the meet and it was well received and appreciated. The OBA President presented the report card of the MC 2021-22 for the first 5 months and the road map for the next half of this term. The Treasurer presented the balance sheet and pointed out the shortfalls. The VP handled questions from the gathering and there was a healthy discussion and advice of the GB was taken on board.
The focus was on shoring up and raising Batch Funds before the March 31 deadline to avail of the 80G benefits. Teachers Insurance Fund was identified as a key area of interest. Batches are to be rewarded with the top aggregators being put on an Honours board, get a Gift hamper & receive a 🏆.
Annual Prize Day and Josexcel Awards and the Udit Dhanuka Awards
The Annual Prize Day is a momentous occasion felicitating our academic achievers. Warmest congratulations and best wishes to our students in the years to come.
OBA held the Josexcel Awards and the Udit Dhanuka Awards ceremony. 55 students received lapel pins, certificates et School Tee-shirts with their names embossed.
This was held in combination with the School’s Prize distribution ceremony where multiple OBA awards were given away to the Batch of 2021 on the 28th of March 2022 who missed out last year on account of the pandemic.
