The 150 year old spirit must go on
Mix milk and plain white yoghurt, add salt and mix, leave in the refrigerator for 20 minutes, take it out and then mix again with a spoon and drink you'll get sleepy and will sleep...
Don't worry! You are NOT reading a Recipe Book nor a Health Magazine, but this is what the subject 'History' used to do to me a couple of decades back. The sleep was so good that I hardly remember who taught me history... Read more

Fide Et Labore
Faith and Toil, ideals so rich, always our motto strong,
Indelibly carved in our psyches, our pride to just belong.
Dutifully obeyed our teachers who were the very best,
Enriched with all they taught us, we’ve stood up to the test.
Experiencing St. Joseph’s and all that was our school,
Thoroughly groomed us for the world, not bending any rule.

An article by Desmond Hayde (Batch of 1945)
I entered my first class-room at age four, at age eighty-two the minatory impact of lead pencils and chalk remains with me. Then it was boarding school at five and a half. We went to school in those days for no particular reason, it was just the done thing and certainly gave Mum and Dad a rest. Nor were school managements fussy, we had a twelve year old in Std IV whose pet cock-bird was allowed into class, a very well behaved bird. Read more
When play becomes work
It happens all the time: Two guys in a garage come up with a cool new technology -- and dream of making it big. A thousand people take time off work to campaign for a visionary politician because they feel they are doing something to change the world. A million kids play cricket – and wonder what it would take to make the national team.
Then the brainiacs, volunteers and cricketers grow up. What they did for fun becomes . . . work. Pay checks and bonuses become the reasons to do things. Pink slips and demotions become the reasons not to do other things. Read more
